BOOK YOUR TRIP

The most convient way to book your trip is to do it online.  You can also book your trip in person or over the phone.

COMPLETE YOUR WAIVERS 

After you make your booking you will recieve an email to complete your waiver, or you can follow this link to complete a waiver.

SHOW UP AT THE TIME YOUR RENTAL IS BOOKED

We plan for you to arrive at the time your booking is made.  Shuttles depart the shop ten minutes after every booking hour, if you are late you must wait till the next shuttle.

CHECK IN & CATCH YOUR SHUTTLE

Check in at the registration desk and review the trip you are doing and the boats you have rented.

PADDLE!

Paddle at your leisure back to the shop!   The 4.5 mile trip has an ample time limit of 3 hours and the 8.5 mile trip has a time limit of 5 hours.  All kayaks must be returned to the shop by that days  posted closing time.

ARRIVE BACK AT THE OUTFITTER

You will arrive back at the shop and will carry your boats to the side of the boat ramp and let a staff member know that you returned safely and return your paddles and PFD’s

Kayak as much as you want out of our Pottstown Location during our regular operating hours.  

HOW IT WORKS

After signing up, members are provided with a 5 digit code.  Once provided with the code, members are able to use that code to make a reservation via our standard rental booking for any avaialble times.  

KAYAKING AND PADDLEBOARDING

Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are all availble to season pass holders to use as a part of their membership.  Members cannot use their membership for anyone but themselves.  

Bring a friend!

Every membership comes with at least one “Bring a Friend Pass” for you to use.  

Commonly Asked Questions/Guidelines

How old do you need to be?

All participants must be 6 years of age and older, and 12 years of age and older to paddle their own kayak or canoe.  All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Ratios of minors to adults in your group may not exceed 1 adult to 5 minors.

What do we need to bring?

Good fitting shoes that can get wet, expect your feet and lower leg to get wet enterign and exiting your kayak. 
Plenty of hydration, snacks/food, weather appropiate clothing, sunglasses, hat 

Are Dogs allowed?  

Dogs are not allowed on our rental trips.  If you wish to bring a dog with you on a guided trip of ours please ask us first to make sure it is appropiate

Is alcohol permitted? 

Alcohol is not permitted on any of our trips.  If you bring large coolers on any of our trips we reserve the right to look inside.  

Do I have to wear a lifevest? 

Yes, everyone is required to wear a lifevest on any of our trips.  

Do you provide paddles and PFD’s?

Yes, PFD’s, paddles and state required whistles are provided for each participant.  Everyone, including those who bring their own boat are required to wear PFD’s during our activities.  

When do shuttles leave the shop? 

Shuttles leave the shop as soon as everyone for that time slot has arrived.  The van will leave ten minutes after the booked time with or without you, and you will have to wait till the next available time.

Can we swim in the river?

It is allowed and common for people to swim in the river.  You are responsible for your boat at all times.  

How skilled do I need to be to rent a kayak?

Our two trip options are designed for beginners and are great for people who may have never paddled before.  We advise first timers to try out the 4.5 mile trip.  

Can we transport the kayaks and take them elsewhere?

No, you may not transport the kayak.  You may only rent the kayak and utilize our shuttle service for our regular trips. 

Do you offer fishing kayaks? 

Yes, we currently have a few fishing kayaks in stock and are expecting to recieve delivery of more throughout the 2021 season.  

Do you offer any other rental trip options? 

By advance request only we offer trips from our shop down 9.5+ miles to Trinley Park.  We can accomodate other trips as long as they are requested in advance and we are availble.  

Rental Hours:

Wednesday-Sunday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
(close early if last paddler has returned, last shuttle 2:00 pm)
2024 Season May 18th-September 15th
Not open the following exceptions:
June 15th, 16th, and 19th-21st.
Weekday rentals cease after Labor Day.
