If you ski or snowboard, Chamonix France should definitely be on your bucket list. The area is dominated by the 4,810 meter Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe, which serves as a playground for sports enthusiasts. Between skiing ice climbing, paragliding, snow shoeing, etc., there is plenty to do and see. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline filled vacation or a relaxed European ski holiday Chamonix has what you are looking for. The Chamonix ski areas have more than 170 kilometers of piste on which to cruise, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy the famous food and wine. “When you’re out in the town center, wherever you are, look up and you’ll see ‘IT’ there… 4,810 meters (15,781 ft) of rock, snow, ice and dreams of things to come.”

Chamonix Ski and Snowboard Terrain – The Chamonix area offers a sensational amount of skiing and snowboarding terrain, both on-piste and off-piste. Chamonix has a network of more than 60 lifts. Whatever sort of skiing you want and whatever your ability, you will find a suitable ski area in Chamonix. THE SCHUYLKILL CANAL ASSOCIATION NEEDS YOUR HELP
The volunteers of the Schuylkill Canal Association are asking for our help. This Saturday they need some volunteers to help fill sandbags. As a thank you for your help Sly Fox will give a free pint coupon to anyone who volunteers (must be over 21).

The SCA volunteers spend a lot of their personal time, tools and resources to keep the Canal operating...so when they ask for our help we try to do our part in order to keep the canal operating.

This latest project consists of construction of a bulkhead and floating dock at the portage on Schuylkill Canal. This project goal is to eliminate erosion of canal bank and allow safe and easy access to the canal for boaters.

Please email us at doug@takeitoutdoorsadventures.com if you plan on attending.

We plan on meeting at 9:00 a.m. at the Reynolds Dog Park:

Even if you can only give an hour...we appreciate all the help we can get.

Please come out and show your support of the SCA and our beloved Canal Park.

You don't need equipment...Just bring yourself and work clothes. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Please supply us with your email address when you sign up just in case we are meeting at a different spot on the Canal.
